There are many things to consider when buying your wedding shoes - Colour, Fabric, Style, Suitability to venue, the Season...... but the main consideration is your comfort, which means height, toe shape, and fabric.
If you are having a City wedding, then you can consider any heel height, but choose a height you are used to wearing. You will be wearing your shoes and expected to be standing and walking for most of the day. If you are used to wearing 5" and regularly wear this size for work, then you'll be comfortable with this. Otherwise pick a kitten heel or heel height that you are used to wearing and will find easier.
There are lot's of colours you can choose for your bridal shoes. You don't have to stick to white or Ivory. If you are using Gold or Silver in your bridal parties outfits, or have gold or silver details in your other accessories, decor or dress, then I would absolutely choose a Gold or Silver shoe, as you will be able to wear them for plenty future occasions, and thus justifying your spend. It's also not unheard of for some brides to wear a Blue shoe for their something blue.
If you also need great Bridesmaids shoes (I'm guessing you plan on having them wearing shoes!), then you might also enjoy my selection of those for the current season, at: The Best Bridesmaids shoes.
Ever, and always willing to help my customers out I've compiled my selection of favourite bridal shoes. Some with skyscraper heels, down to completely flat. From break the bank, to cost of a round of drinks. Glitter covered or velvet for Christmas and Winter, strappy for Summer, crystal embellished or lace for any season, and even a pair for cowgirls because I've always loved cowboy boots since I was a teenager, and know I'm not the only one!. I've divided the shoes into a few different categories (budgets), from totally spoiling herself, to the more budget conscious, so you can select from the category that suits your requirements. I constantly update, add, remove items each season so you should find you can still grab those featured.
This post includes affiliate links - suggestions of items I've selected you. If you see anything you like, click the links and decide to buy the suggestion, then the retailer will give me a little commission (maybe even enough to buy a latte) to thank me.
